F.A.Q.

Q: How much does it cost per night?
A: Rates vary depending on the time of year, the building you choose, and the length of your stay.

Q. What is the deposit schedule?
A. A 50% deposit is due at the time you place your reservation. Your remaining balance will be due four weeks prior to your check-in date. We accept money orders and personal checks. We currently do not accept credit cards.

Q: What is the cancellation policy?
A: Since we are a modestly sized lodging destination, cancellations impact us significantly. Your deposit will be 100% refundable if your cancellation is received before March 1st. Cancellations after this date result in a loss of your refund, unless we are able to re-rent your accommodations. If we are able to re-rent we will refund your deposit less a $150 processing fee.

Q. Are the homes lakefront?
A. Our larger homes, Pine Cone Cottage, Loon Lodge, and Moose Lodge are lakefront. Our smaller cabins are only a short walk to the lake.

Q: Do I have to rent for a full week?
A. We offer nightly and weekly rentals.

Q. When do I check-in?
A. Check-in time is 3:00 PM and check-out time is 10:00 AM in July and August. Flexible check-in and check-out times are available in the Spring and Fall. Weekly rentals are Saturday to Saturday in July and August.

Q. How big is White Lake?
A. White Lake is approximately three miles long and crystal clear. It is one of the few spring fed lakes in the Adirondack Park and is up to 100 foot deep in some areas.

Q. Do you allow pets?
A. For the comfort of our other guests, pets are not allowed on the property. Please inquire and we can assist you with local kennel information if needed.

Q. Are you open all year?
A. We are open from Memorial Day to Columbus Day

Q. Do I need to supply my own linens?
A. Pillows and blankets/quilts are provided in all cabins. You will need to bring sheets, towels and beach towels. Linens are provided for nightly rentals in the Fish and Fern cabins.

Q. Are the kitchens equipped?
A. Each kitchen is fully equipped for cooking and dining. We do recommend you bring a few extra dish towels, Tupperware, and plastic bags for food storage.

Q. Are there fireplaces in the cabins?
A. Loon Lodge and Pine Cone Cottage both have gas fireplaces.

Q. Are there telephones?
A. For your peace and relaxation telephones are not available in individual cabins. There is a telephone in the office for emergency use. Messages are checked daily and delivered to your cabin. Cell service is very good with AT&T, Verizon offers spotty service.

Q. Is there television?
A. Yes, Satellite TV is available in Pine Cone Cottage and Bear Paw Cottage.

Q. Are there laundry facilities?
A. We do not provide laundry facilities but there is a Laundromat located in Old Forge.

Q. Do you provide grills and picnic tables?
A. Yes, there is a gas grill and picnic table for each cabin.

Q. What size beds do you offer?
A. We offer a mix of twin, double and queen beds in each of our cabins.
Loon Lodge: 5 doubles, 1 queen, 4 twins
Pine Cone Cottage: 1 queen, 2 doubles, 4 singles
Moose Lodge: 6 doubles, 4 twins
Bear Paw: 1 queen, 1 doubles, 1 3/4 Hide-a-bed
Fern and Fish Cabins: Each with one double and 1 3/4 Hide-a-bed

Q. Can I bring a boat?
A. Yes, there are no size restrictions for boats on the lake and there are three docks at White Lake Lodges to dock your boat. A launch area is available for your use a short distance from White Lake Lodges. Your boat must be inspected for invasive species before launching.

Q. Does White Lake Lodges have boats?
A. Yes, we have several kayaks and canoes for your enjoyment. There are several marinas and sporting shops that will rent boats - check the Area Attractions page for a listing of locations.

Q. Is there a beach?
A. Yes, there is a sandy beach with a gentle slope into the lake. The area is roped off and is six foot at the deepest point. Swimming is at your own risk and there is no lifeguard on duty.

Q. Is there an outdoor space for camp fires?
A. There is a common camp fire space with complimentary firewood and seating.

Q. Can I bring a tent or camper for extra family members?
A. No, tents and campers are not permitted on the property.
